THE VILLAGE - Sky Movies??

I was completely in the dark and i'm sure if i'd been in the cinema watching it, the whole audience would have heard my brain "click" as the penny finally dropped with me :o

Exact same thing happened to me with Sixth Sense :D

Erm... what were they?? :) :) I'm usually quite good at spotting "obvious" twists coming from a mile off... but THE VILLAGE genuinely surprised me.

Would be interested to know what your thoughts were, I liked it, but then its difficult for me to hate any Joaquin movie, he just brings a touch of class to each film, he is one of the greatest actors today, yes I know I sound biased ;)

One of the worst films of last year, perhaps only beaten by open water.

Glad it is not shown on the movie channels - go count the blades of grass on the lawn - far more entertaining !

Villages from that time period often had no contact from outsiders and yet they managed to clothe themselves etc Wasn't Phoenixes character a smithy of some sort, i'm sure he could knock a few things together.

IMO Total and utter crap! Its the worst film ive ever seen and ive seen some rubbish.

I wasted an hour or so of my life watching it and i wont get them back! :D

My daughter and I were for switching it off half way through it...but kept giving it another ten minutes and so on until it ended.

I have to say we were surprised and intrigued at the ending. On hinRABight, it was a good movie, but if someone tells you the ending, then it's hardly worth watching it as the whole point of it is to surprise you with the unexpected twist.

However, I wouldn't exactly say it was memorable in the scope of movies that have been released over the past year.

Joaquin is turning into Mel Gibson, look-wise

and Mel Gibson is turning into Mr. Fisher from Home & Away

So things don't look good....
