The Usual Suspects

Sorry but you've been conned by the film - it's only real intention is to make people believe it's possible to suss it out. You can't go on subtleties in performances. It's not real people are acting and one actor subtleties are very different to another. How he says things and move and looks is down to his acting style.

i havent been conned by anything!-i hated it but i at least understand what it was about which is more than you seem to.......

how can you say you can't go on subtleties in performances??in which case then what is cinema about?i know that acting styles vary but the actors were cast for a reason...and that is that their acting style complimented the style of the film-and it neeRAB repeated viewing to look for the clues-such as why does spacey's character come up with certain ideas.......its only by finding out who keyser soze is that you can understand why the characters are acting the way they do
its not my type of film but i have to admit when you saw how he had thought of his story in the interrogation room it was pretty cool-and not to be mistaken for something that the audience was supposed to pick up on-how pointless would that have been?

I agree. I knew the ending of 'The Sixth Sense' after reading th eback of the DVD box - I wish I'd read it in the shop instead of buying the DVD first. Still haven't bothered to watch it, as there's not much point - I read the back of the case, said to girlfriend who had already seen it "I bet ....... happens" and she said "Yeah. It does."

Pants.

The Usual Suspects was good though, even if you don't get a chance to 'work it out from the clues'. Arlington Road which has been mentioned as well was also pretty good in my opinion.

Lol - you really hate that film - just because it beat you! I know what you are trying to say, but I think the film is one level above you, and you can't see that. Kevin Spacey is one of my favourite modern actors, love every role I have seen him in :p
