The Unwritten Rules of Movie Watching

Ohk, so I'll admit sometimes, if the movie is broing, I'm one of the annoying people who laughs at pointless things.

And my most annoying thing would be people who have seen the movie, and telling you what part to watch.. I'm like. "Hello, I'm wathcing the screen aren't I?"

And when someone doesn't understand the movie. My friend is really bad at this. We were wathcing The Dark Knight and halfway through the movie, she say's "Oh is that guy with the face painting a baddie?"
WTF!
For starters, he's killed like 20 people by now AND the joker hasn't just been in this movie, he's like 7 times as old as you, he's the token baddy. Idiot.

I'll be at a movie and a bunch of immature teenagers/young twenties will come in either drunk, high, or just plain rude. And will say loud inappropriate things throughout the movie.

Like watching the last LOTR where Frodo gives Sam a kiss goodbye on his forehead and these kids behind me starting saying gay really loud. And this is after listening to them make comments the whole movie. I wanted to turn around and scream at them.

I usually avoid watching movies in the theaters that have explicit sex scenes in them, so If I ever got caught watching a movie with said scene in it, I'd be happy for someone to walk in front of me and do some auto blocking.

What I do hate though, is somehow finding myself seated in front with Obnoxious Young Men who do nothing but laugh at every damn thing on the screen in a movie (especially a serious one). Its happened to me 3 Times now! On rare occasions, there are people talking and giggling on their phones, or snapping pictures off, lighting up the darkness with a fleeting flash of light.

GRrrrrrr...

I'm back from the theater and THIS. There was a 1 year old looking baby crying her eyes out. Her mom would NOT take her outside. 10 minutes after the baby would not stop crying, the mother finally walked out with her in arms.

I feel bad for moms of young children, but they're rarely quiet when there's so much fuzz around them.

Oh my god, that happens everytime :irked: and also whenever Im watching a movie, any movie it doesnt even have to be a horror or a gory movie my mother manages to walk in at the goriest scene in the entire movie!

I swear I was watching Goodfellas and throughout the first half I kept laughing but the first person they decide to kill and bury she walks in

When the theatre is completely free of seats, but a group of people decide to sit in the very same seats one row in front of you.

Farting in the Theatre: Some people seem to think it ok to do so in a packed theatre

i hate, hate, hate when people talk in movies and give their own personal commnetary...loud

You go into a movie theatre and are excited when you see the theatre is practically empty, this has to mean that people won't talk, right? Wrong. A couple proceeds to talk through the entire movie and annoy the crap out of you. (Happened last night---I wanted to get up and scream at them!)

We seem to have lost/misplaced the awesome "annoying things people do in theaters" thread. :bawl:

But we can share those annoyances here, as well as things you can always count on happening while you're trying to watch a movie in: a theater, your house, a friend's house, someone you don't even know's house, outdoors festival, a common room, etc, etc.

- You know which friend always manages to get to movies late, but he/she is the only one who is free, so you call them all day to be on time - but nope, you arrive late at the movie. It always happens.
-You're at home alone... You're bored, nothing happens, there's nobody around. You decide to watch a movie but the second you sit down comfortably, the phone rings.
-People always come into the room when a sex scene is about to start. This never fails. You could be watching a 4 hour movie with only one sex in it, but people will always have the great timing of walking in when the only sex scene is taking place.

-You go to the theater, find a seat, sit through some of the previews and then when you're preparing to go to the bathroom or buy some food...the screen goes black because the movie is about to start. So annoying.
-You FINALLY decide to rent that movie you always wanted to see but when you get to the store, it's checked out.
-You've been planning a movie night for weeks, you find a night everyone can make it and the movie sucks.

Anyway, feel free to add/comment/disagree/rant! :)
