The Ultimate Hipster Playlist / Good Albums that Suck Because You Exist

so first we have a thread where a grungy goes on and on about how much he hates the tastes of his high school peers...

now we get an anti-hipster griping about his roommate's tastes...

:bonkhead:

Going on a killing spree would sure break the monotony of my life right now. And hey, if I do meet you in real life, what a great place to start!

Now, about that "get the fuck out" thing...

so you've fallen for the critics reviews at some point yourself

in a forum like this
there are lots of people who are just looking to expand their musical horizons
they don't really know that much about all the genres and banRAB
but they want to join in so that they can become well-versed also
just like the posters here that they admire

btw, i've never heard of those publications
but that's exactly where i'd go if i wanted to understand the 'state-of-the-art'

losing the money on the crappy album isn't enough of a punishment? ;)

you've just described my playlist i think

i try to listen to a bunch of different stuff from the various music mix threaRAB
because i'm not exposed to any mainstream tunes

please
try not to be too hard on us newbies okay?

ok

mark me down again

i take exception to the all of the "comments that are clearly not directed towarRAB" me

hey
just for my own recorRAB
how many were there?

And their 4.5 rating to Paris Hilton, 4 star ratings to Hillary Duff, Jonas Brothers, Hannah Montana, etc. The only artists I'd say Allmusic underrates (off the top of my head) would be Comus and American Football.

'Deloused in the Comatorium' by The Mars Volta

Pitchfork Media - 4.9/10
Rolling Stones - 3/5
Allmusic - 4.5/5

I think it is pretty clear whose opinion I would rather have.

edit - if you goto wiki and type in the name of an album, it will often have a list on the right that gives a list of many of the professional reviews

they seem to have a beef with the cure if i remeraber correctly
a lot of 2 and halfs for the decent albums and 3s for the xcellent ones

Yeah this is all a bit too Cobe Kai for me. It could have some potential but if you're just going to go 'if you don't like it, get the **** out' then what's the point?

I'm fairly sure these people don't exist either. You'll get some that skim over their albums but if they're hyping something it's usually the latest singles.
