The Ultimate Girl Genius.

You asked for it, and now you got it. Here is a poll as to who is the greatest girl genius in cartoons. Is it Susan and Mary Test, Sandy Cheeks, or Grecten Grundler from "Recess"? Please vote and or leave your comment here. Thank you.

My vote goes to the Test Twins. They're both super smart and can make just about anything in that lab of theirs. Plus, it was Susan & Mary who gave the Dukey (the family dog, for those who aren't familiar with the show) his intelligence and martial arts skills. Now that's talent!

I think I?ll go with ?none of the above?. I like Heloise from Jimmy Two-Shoes; a genius in her own right, she simply chooses to use her genius to help the town?s tyrannical overlord cause endless misery. I believe she was the best thing about that series and is one of the main reasons that I?m looking forward to season two.

Shouldn't Velma Dinkley be counted as a genius as well? Nevertheless, I'd pick Susan and Mary Test. Those twin sisters always come up with something new for Johnny's adventures.

Yes, she of the mind-bashingly high I.Q.. :D

"Wanna see my sprocket collection...?"

Um...why? She never struck me as especially intelligent on any of the Scooby-Doo shows. Just because a girl wears glasses and is paired with a vapid ditz like Daphne doesn't automatically make her smart.

...Agatha Clay?

But really, I probably like Sandy Cheeks the most out of the ones you mentioned. Nothing better than a seafaring scientist that knows karate.

I also pick Gadget Hackwrench, too. Her ability to invent nearly any type of contraption, and still keep her 'cute as a button' personality is quite impressive. Of course, that's not the main reason why Chip, or Dale want to spend time with her. ;)In 'A Pup Named Scooby-Doo', Velma's personality was exaggerated to the point where she would invent something useful from time to time. So that kinda makes her a genius, but only in that series. She's usually just smart enough to figure out most of the clues in the other shows. Speaking of 'girl geniuses', I should also throw in Inspector Gadget's resourceful niece, Penny.

True but unlike the Test Twins she's an adult :p arguably so is Sandy. Plus both of them are rodents rather than humans :p so I don't think they fit the 'girl genius' concept. They are certainly smart no doubt about it.

I have to give it to the Test Twins considering what they can do (the Alchemy 5000! Bring objects to life! Give super powers! Make spaceships! Genetic manipulation! etc etc).

Heloise is second. Mostly because her characterisation puts a lot more emphasis on her mean streak and general destructiveness than her genius. She could give anyone in this thread a run for their money and would not be above using dastardly techniques to come out on top of any confrontation.

I vote for the Test Twins also, because there's very little they can't do with their genius and the unlimited resources at their disposal. Time travel. Weather manipulation. Giant robots. Altering peoples' physical forms. Bringing objects to life. Giving people super powers (including themselves in one episode). If Susan and Mary ever decide to go evil, we're all doomed. :anime:

I can think of a few examples..

Gwen from the TD series is kind of this. She's not particularly geeky but still shows signs of having a good amount of intelligence.

Also, how has nobody mentioned Princess Bubblegum from Adventure Time? She easily fits into this category.

And, obligatorily, Aelita from Code Lyoko.

Why has it taken this long for someone to mention Lisa Simpson? She invented a perpetual motion machine that just keeps going faster and faster for christs sake!:p

I'm tempted to add Wendy Testaburger from South Park. She's have some genius at some episodes like when she wanted to make her point about South Park flag and about "the list" and in one occasion she can also punch someone like she did to Cartman.

Dana from Wayside might be a genius by defacto. She's not a scientist like the Test twins but she have a good knowledge of almost all Wayside school rules.

Edit: I almost forgot, there also Amy Mizuno aka Sailor Mercury. Her genius allowed to Sailor Moon in some occasions some advantages over the ennemy.

Huh. So nobody said Lisa Simpson? Wow folks. She's pretty much what Brian Griffin is nowadays with a hint of Edd (Double D from Ed, Edd and Eddy).

I also pick Princess Bubblegum from Adventure Time. She's a princess but also a scientist.
