The ultimate Disney Battle-Lion King vs Aladdin

Aladdin! Although they're both good, I just prefer the Disney films with humans rather than animals. Robin Williams as the genie was inspired. I have avoided the sequels though as I don't think they can ever match up to the brilliance of the first film.

Thats a wise move in one way but not in another.

Return of Jafar is a pretty decent flick on its own (so long as you can put up with Dan 'Homer Simpson' Castalleneta as the Genie) but Aladdin and the King of Thieves is meh at best but has Robin Williams returning as Genie with some classic lines such as:

:D

Out of those two I'd definitely pick Lion King and I can't believe people hate Scar! I used to fancy him when i was younger:confused::o

But I like The Little Mermaid as much as Lion King too and Ursula gives Scar a run for his money in the villain stakes. In fact, I just think i like the bad guys lol

Hmm
Tough Choice
Had Both on Video (Think I may have been the only person in the whole of UK to take up woolworths up on their offer of swapping the video for the DVD for like Fiver, the woman in the shop didn't know what to do lol)
Love them Both
Aladdin wins on Megadrive Games by miles, although the level in Lion King with all the monkeys in the trees and the slidding down giraffes is one of my favourite levels on any game.

plus I was already finding it hard to decide which was best when I read the title, then I read through and remembered the brilliance of Beauty and the Beast which I think was much more advanced than Lion King, the BallRoom Scene especially.

Final Decision has to be - Aladdin.

Although Lion King is still an amazing film.

Lion King, although I was more of a Beauty and the Beast and Little Mermaid fan!

Disney used to be so good, it all went wrong when they started doing stuff with computers. Or maybe they just ran out of classic stories/fairytales etc to animate. Shame.

They still are. Its just another rough patch like the mid-seventies. The line up for the rest of the decade and beyond is looking fairly decent.

Yes the forray into CG was not brilliant, but it was the de riguer at the time. The new regime will eventually allow films to be made in the medium that the director wants, rather than what the top brass thinks will sell.

The Princess and the Frog and Rapunzel fill that category. :)

PAH!
Neither for me
It has to be the Jungle Book.
George Sanders as Shere Khan and Bears doing drag in a Disney movie.... what more could you ask for?

And that thing that bears do in the wooRAB...well thie Jungle Book score does the same all over Elton Johns saccharin sentimental schmalz.
I agree that the Aladdin Score is a lot better but still nowhere near The Jungle Book.
I Wanna Be Like You ooh ooh
The Bear Necessities
I'm The King Of The Swingers
