i like happy endings, but breaking dawn was just too perfect. there was no suffering and upset that the other books had. i mean with twilight bella gets hurt by james, new moon edward leaves bella devastating her and she barely picks up the pieces, eclipse bella is tormented by breaking jacob's heart and being with edward. also jacob was completely lost when bella basically would rather die than be with him
i would have liked that there would be some sort of epic battle with the cullens/wolves and the volturi. i mean you get braced and tense for the climatic fight that has been brewing, but all you get is a discussion and debates. it was a sour point for me. i think there should have been some sort of fight and someone of importance dies. like sam could have forcing the rest of the wolves to join jake's pack making him the rightful alpha.
i know the whole jacob/renesmee thing is just fate, but still irkes me. i was really liking the jacob/leah bond that was forming, but oh well. i like that jacob imprinted on a vamp because it then makes him change his whole perspective. i would maybe have liked for jake to imprint on one of the denali girls. i just don't like the whole jacob was "in love" with his soulmates mother that to me is just therapy waiting to happen.
bella pissed me off in the books. like with new moon she was just crazy when she risked her life to hear edward's voice. the way she jerked jacob around when edward came back. she was selfish by not letting jake go and live his life. she kept bringing him back giving him hope only to squash it again and again.
kristen stewart, i think, makes bella more likable. when i see it played out it still makes me pissed off at bella for playing edward and jacob. she chooses edward yet kisses jacob? ho-bag! i had a point in there somewhere...oh right bella on screen doesn't seem as conflicted as bella in the books, which i like. yes she admits her feelings for jake, but she ultimately goes with edward knowing completely in her heart that he is what she wants forever. bella in the books goes mental when she leaves jacob and edward holds her all night while she bawls her eyes out. that made me mad because she seemed to be lost without jacob even though she wants edward making her confused and never knowing what she wants. kristen made bella very decisive and almost mature about knowing her options and choosing what she wants and sticking to it.
