The Transporter 2

I never saw Transporter 1, but hubby had the remote when this was about to come on and, to be fair, nothing else looked the slightest bit tempting, so I watched the first few minutes. It was so silly and unbelievable that I kept watching.

I justified my continued interest by wanting to know why the bad guys wanted the little boy and what they wanted to inject him with. By the time I had the story figured out I was hooked by the vast amount of suspension of disbelief required and the total stupidity of the whole thing, but I watched it right up until the final credits and enjoyed it for the nonsense it was.

I saw the first Transporter movie at the cinema a few years back on a weekend when there wasn't much else on and I thought it was one of the best films I'd seen in ages

The sequel, even though far fetched in places, I actually thought was a more enjoyable film. Both sit proudly in my DVD collection

I agree it sometimes doesn't make sense but it's a great fun action film. Jason Statham is one of, in my opinion, the best action stars right now, and I thought 'Crank' deserved to do alot better than it did.

I had to give them credit for including something so patently ridiculous, but overall I was struggling to stay awake. The fight scene with the fire hose was amusing though.

Sorry, I think you mis read me, I meant it deserved to do alot better box office wise. I thought it was a good film, unrealistic, but good.

That was ridiculous along with the car jump from the car park and the plane that nosedived into the water and it only lost it's tail section

I love jason Statham...anyone else think he's make a good Bond or if they were ever to make a movie of the PS2game Hitman he's be good in that too....that man sures looks good in a suit!!!!

Jason Statham is really the only action star we've got at the moment. Vin Diesel seems to have dropped off the radar, as has The Rock (who's actually a good replacement for Arnie truth be told).

The Transporter movies and Crank really go back to the fun action films of the 80s and early 90s, no brainer action flicks with a large dollop of humour that don't take themselves to seriously.

The Rock was looking good whilst he was still doing his WWE training program and looked ripped and much larger. He's actually slimmed down a lot and lost quite a bit of muscle mass, so he's not perhaps the Arnie replacement we thought at first.

Vin Diesel dropped off the radar after the Pacifier movie. Talk about a 'Mr Nanny' film if ever there was one. Should have stuck to making Riddick movies.

Tut tut! He said he was stopping the martial art epic films, not all martial arts/action films etc.

In fact you should be pleased to know the Jet Li and Jason Stathan are both starring in an action film together in the lead roles called Rogue. And from what I've heard it's shaping up to be pretty good.
