The Top Ten Most Infuriating Music Fans Ever

David Bowie fangirls had better be on this list. I don't think I've ever come across a more boring and irrational group of people in my entire life.

I've never heard of either of those 3 banRAB, but just giving a brief look at their wikipedia pages, they all seem to have the thing in common that they all have jam and progressive stuck somewhere within the list of genres used to describe them, and they all play a variety of genres. They look like pretty good banRAB, just judging from the variety of music they play.

Ahaha, that was an awesome entry!

If I ever again have to endure an album full of 'relaxing' panpipe adaptations of well-known songs, I'll shoot myself.

There's nothing wrong with a little competition in music, it motivates musicians do innovate and do better.

But yeah, in the world of shred guitar, it's very much a sport. More about the showmanship than the music, kinda like modern day vaudville.

"Step right up, step right up, to see and hear the fastest guitar player IN THE WORLD."

I'm just saying people love their music just as much as you do yours. How does that make you any better? Why does it matter why they like it?

I do understand where you're coming from. You just don't like technical skill with your morning coffee and soe people do. I, on the other hand, prefer just a bit of sugar and cream.

In all seriousness, why you make not like they genres or the banRAB, I still stand by the fact that there is no wrong way to enjoy music. So long as you enjoy it who cares?

It's not. It wasn't a comment on the quality of the band (though personally I do like them a lot), it was a comment on what indie fans listen to.

Yeah, a lot of people have kind of a crappy taste in music when they're 9. It's okay, I won't hold it against you.

I hate prog fans who can't shut up about how inferior every other genre of music is. The kind that always rants about pop music but doesn't really know what the f*ck pop is, they need to realise that having a poppy melody or a hook doesn't completely strip a song of artistic merit. I'm talking about the kinda people who give one star to Talking HeaRAB albums and King Crimson's Discipline, calling it "generic pop". What a bunch of idiots.

Progarchives is full of people like this. So for me, they're the worst. Mainly because I have the misfortune of being associated with them.

I think they think of themselves that way too but the funny thing is that generally the only thing they have in common with hippies is that they smoke pot.

i don't hate them. i find their music dull and their fans infuriating (especially the younger, more impressionable ones), hence the spot on the list.

and as for the pic, i honestly couldn't find an appropriate pic for the idiots themselves, if i do run across one in future travels i'll be sure to edit it.

Haha, this whole entry was great. It's funny, on the flips side of this there's another group of music listeners out there who suck: people who only like music that is "soothing". You know who I mean, the kind of people who keep smooth jazz and easy listening stations on the air and who view music not as an art form but as some kind of relaxation device similar to a massage chair.

I'm expecting fans of "everything but country/rap" to be on this list. So common, yet so infuriating.

And of course, Dream Theater fans.

I don't think I've ever met a female Bowie fan.

Actually, it's very rare to meet a girl who has decent taste in music where I live.

Heh, I use that phrase sometimes. Only instead of "country/rap" I say "Death metal/Screamo".

Not to mention Korn, Slipknot, Three Days Grace, Stonesour, Seether, Linkin Park, etc..... I could go on.

They may have "no artistic merit" in your opinion, but at least their music was fun, and is ALOT more listenable then today's garbage that's been floating around in the mainstream, and before you use the cliche "well ur jus trapped in the 80s!!!!!" I'll just let you know, that I try to get into music from every decade, and there is infact alot of music I like that's new, admittly, alot of it isn't rock/metal, but still.

I lol'd at this. I actually thought it was a pretty good movie, yet again, I also happen to be a wreslting fan, but that's completely off topic, so I'll leave it at that.
