The Tom Hanks Appreciation Thread

I think that Tom Hanks is an amazing actor and such a genuine, down to earth guy. I've loved every film he's ever done. My fave would have to be Philadelphia.
Does anyone else agree?

the most asexual gay couple ever...

that awful 'all gay men love opera and sing to it whilst they're dying whilst on a drip' scene made me vomit

i kept thinking 'i wish he'd just hurry up and die'
 
Dreadful actor. Can't think of many more bland than him. Can bring tedium and greyness to any part he plays, be it comedy, action or drama. One to avoid. And he's got a face you just want to slap.
 
Anyway I like alot of his films my fav are Big, Castaway, Road to Perdition and Catch me if you can. Also even though not many people liked the film The Terminal I loved it.
 
I too think Tom Hanks is an excellent actor, I've followed him from the 80s 'till now and watched all of his films and can only think of one that I didn't like (Joe Versus The Volcano!!), my favourite though has got to be Big, hasn't bettered it in my opinion.
 
I wouldn't describe him as an amazing actor, but he is very capable and has made some very good films.

I liked -

'The Terminal', 'Cast Away' & 'The Green Mile'
but, I thought he was miscast in The Da Vinci Code.
 
WOW thought there would have been more Tom Hanks Fans on here. I think Tom Hanks is a Fantastic actor , the movies of his i love the most have to be

Forrest Gump
The Burbs
Big
The Green Mile

I love them movies. :D
 
Saving Private Ryan, The Green Mile and Forrest Gump are all in my top 10 fave films.

Splash and Big were just :o though

Maybe he gets better with age ;)
