The Time Traveler's Wife - is it as crap as it looks?

I absolutely loved the book and, judging by its trailer and critical response, the film looks dreadful.

Has anyone seen it, and what did you think?
 
As a film it is seroiusly flawed due to thebits they have missed out from the book (it isn't explained that he can't go forward in time until after he has met his wife). However if you loved the book watch the film as it is always good to what a fock up the film makers have made of one of your favourite books.

Do you normally read scfi novels?
 
didn't see the film bit the book dragged on and on for me, it needed an edit. beyond a certain point i just wanted him dead. so probably never going to watch the film. books overrated.
