:yay:

OMG, I'm obsessed with the trailer! I had chills the first time I watched it because things looked exactly as I pictured them while reading. The meadow especially, I'm so pumped up.

The book depicts a timeline of events, going back and forth, but it's safe to say, this shouldn't be a spoiler, he's in love with a woman he knew as a little girl.

The book is a very good read if you're thinking about it. :)

Crazy excited for this movie to be released! Definitely one of my favourite books.

In case anyone is interested the website, here, has been updated with some cool stuff. And you can watch all the tv spots at TheMovieBox.Net.

I was disappointed. If I hadn't read the book if would have been a much better movie. It needed more meadow scenes (as someone said before) and I didn't like how they changed the way Clare got pregnant.

I'm soo excited for this movie. I read the book last year and loved it. I just finished re-reading it, so it would be fresh in my mind for the movie ;)

I've been watching the trailer like every day lol. I'm really looking for forward to this...

Not as good as the book but I knew it would be the type of book that would be hard to put onscreen. Rachel and Eric had good chem though and gave good performances. But, I agree that the movie didn't hold up to the book IMO.

Yeah, Rachel hasn't gone wrong in the chemistry department just yet. Hopefully, she'll keep up with it with Eric. *crossing fingers* I'm a bit more worried about Eric though. It's been hit or miss with him in regards to chemistry with his co-stars. He and Drew had zero chemistry in Lucky You, and he wasn't all that great in The Other Boleyn Girl (which wasn't his fault because I thought the movie sucked in general). Loved him in Munich and Troy though!

I've read it only once and I think I won't read it again before the movie because like you said, then the comparisons hinder the enjoyment of the movie. But I'm really excited and the trailer looks good, so hopefully we'll get a nice adaptation we love!

I hope you can finish it, it's a great book.

I've been excited for this movie since the first mention of it being made (from book to movie). The book is one of my favorites. One of the few books I've read more than once. I almost wanna read it directly before watching the movie, BUT there's always that nagging feeling when you've read a book turned movie. You wanna judge everything, and nitpick, and I'd rather just enjoy. I already have a lot of feelings based on the casting choices, but I'm trying to stay open minded, and happy about the movie!!! Cannot wait!!!!

Didn't read the book, but really want to now.

The movie was lovely. Eric/Rachel had such great chemistry. Effortless. Subtle performances.  Tragic... but beautiful ending.

This film looks scarry, time traveler falls in love with a young girl? If I read the book will I understand it a little better?

 I'm excited to see them together in this. I wasn't so crazy for Rachel at first, but she has brilliant chemistry with most of her leading men so this could be really amazing with the two of them playing off each other. :sigh:

I'm actually not really sure if their first [sexual] time will be included in the movie or not. I've been thinking about it. I do think it would make for a nice moment...but I guess it depends on if they wanted to fixate on that or not. Here's hoping it's WAY more romantic, in the sense that it actually is, lol!

I get what you mean by not liking too much fluff. I can't stand that either. Hence why I actually can't stand The Notebook. Well, there's actually quite a few reasons there [and I think you're already aware of most of them, so I won't go into them again], but yeah...this movie better NOT be anything like The Notebook, in those regards. I'm serious. I'll be so upset if it is.

And yeah, I think they've definitley had to tame some things down/cut certain things to get the PG-13 rating. Otherwise, it would've definitely been 'R.

You thought it felt kinda slow? See, I thought it was way too fast, lol. I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it either. There was seriously NO character development whatsoever, in the movie. :( I thought Eric and Rachel did great with what they were given, which wasn't very much, unfortunately. :/

Do you think they'll include it? It's important, yes, but the movie's only PG-13. If I remember correctly, the book had some graphic sex scenes. It's not like I want to see those scenes depicted on-screen in detail, but the book dealt with some other pretty dark themes that I think an R rating would serve it better. I hope the movie won't be too sugar-coated to make it safer for a PG-13 rating.

Anyway, I do agree with you about the book being too "clinical." Yeah, the author just tells it like it is. She doesn't add any fluff to it. I actually don't mind really because I can't deal with too much fluff sometimes.

So excited for this movie! I'm a big fan of Rachel, and Eric's not so bad either. :) I absolutely loved the book, and I can't wait to see it unfold onscreen. :D

^Yes more young Clare would have been nice. The little Clare is so adorable! I was hoping seeing more teenage Clare too.

There were so many changes, taking out "issues" like Henry's ex and Gomez and Clare. But I still like the film. It was a solid adaptation that's really intended for a teenage/PG13 audience.

The funny part that I laughed out loud was when Clare said, "it's not like I cheated." Henry's face is priceless!
