Actually they were shopping around Ichigo 100% a few years ago. They may have let those rights slide however.

And people wonder why people worry about Viz getting the right to anime like Honey & Clover, Nana and Monster - if they can't get off their can to DVD an easy shonen service show like Ichigo 100%, how are these more subtle shows gonna get going?

Anyways, I hope for I"s fans that Viz Does Something With It!

Yeah I hope so, in fact VIZ has a backlog of shows they haven't done anything with, in fact they haven't done anything with Monkey Turn or Doraemon

Actually they still have the rights to them, and while the US arm haven't done anything it will (apparently anyway) be getting a UK release courtesy of Viz Europe's best buRAB Manga Entertainment UK. Blue Dragon will be getting an uncut bilingual release over here aswell.
