the Test of Genius (really hard)?

It has been established that 1 of the 4 men committed a crime. Following are the statements made by each suspect.
harry: barry did it.
barry: jerry did it.
larry: i didn't do it.
jerry: barry lied when he said i did it.

if only ONE of the statements is true, who is the criminal?
 
Well if harry's statement is true, then barry did it.
If Larry's statement is true, then barry did it.
If Jerry's statement is true, the barry did it.

So I'd say Barry did it!
 
You said only one statement is true, but it seems like what Jerry and Harry said was true. But that's TWO STATEMENTS....I think Larry did it because nobody said that he did it. So Harry, Barry, and Larry lied. Jerry was the only one who told the truth.
I'm so smart. ;)
 
hmmm...
barry is guilty...
i don't know why but i just have to put the blame
on someone...
