The term metahumans seems tobe a common, alternate, name for the 'superhero.' It was originally coined by author George R. R. Martin and it is used regularly by D.C. Comics and other writers. To me it seems like taking a short cut in the creative process if I were to use this 'fictional' term in my larger than life world of heroes.
What do you think?
Should I come up with a new term, step away from the pack with a fresh idea or would it be ok to use the term since it seems to be widely used and accepted? Secondly, would it be even legal for me to use the term?
