The Taking Of Prince Harry

Presumably the Harry character is freed at the end? If the writers want real controversy, they would have an execution. The Royals and their supporters shouldn't be kicking up a fuss because it's just a hypothetical situation. Harry gets so much protection, it would never happen! In fact, I would be surprised if he actually does any "fighting".
 
He already has been. He fought on the front line in Afghanistan alongside his troops, remember?

I didn't watch the programme, so I'm not going to make judgments about whether it was in bad taste or not.

I think that Prince Harry is such a special and important person that I think that he should not be allowed to go to fight in Afghanistan. I really admire his guts and genuine desire to do so, but I wouldn't be happy if he went back.
 
Ah but how close to the front line was he really? We'll never know. All we saw was footage of him shooting a big gun into the distance and some footage of him scouting out a village that looked empty. Perhaps I'm being cynical.
 
No, you're not. I remember reading at the time that he was never in any danger, they just basically let him play at being soldiers in a relatively safe area. And it was like there was a whole pile of security men between him and any actual danger, Had even one of those been injured, he'd have been whisked away back home.

But it made a good story, like he was putting his life on the line - which he wasn't.
It's like the fact he was sent home when it got out he was there., There was probably no need to, but again, it added to the 'Soldier on the Front Line' story.
And probably made him feel good about himself, and was great PR for those who believed it. Mending his image!
