A bit redundant surely? Lahndon crime flicks featuring geezers are about as popular at the moment as deely boppers not to mention the fact that Life on Mars has already homaged it well enough.
Might as well do The Professionals while they're at it.

professionals was to be made but script was the problem
also lewis colins was approached but didn't confirm and the casting director also pulled out

if done right could be good, unsure though whether its an up to date version or set in 70s.

Depressing. The 70s Sweeney is iconic, you'll never beat Waterman & Thaw, what's the bloody point of this movie? Stinks of cashing in on the popularity of Life On Mars and I find it very sad. THINK UP SOMETHING ORIGINAL BEFORE WE ALL DIE OF BOREDOM!
