How are the secondary classmate characters from Fairly Odd Parents and Danny Phantom different and how are they the same?
I think they are quite a different, and a complement to Butch Hartman for not bladenting repeating himself.
Both Danny and Timmy have two best friends, the big difference is Danny is much closer to Sam and Tucker than Timmy is to Chester and AJ, they know Danny's secreat, the don't know Timmy's secret, but that has a lot to do with the Fairy rules. They is no ghost rule saying you can't tell no one about your ghost powers or else you lose them. Sam and Tucker are much more deeper characters, and more important characters on the level of Cosmo and Wanda are on Fairly Odd Parents. Not to mention Danny and Sam relationship obviously. LOL Though Sanjay might have the same feelings for Timmy. LOL
Speaking of him, while Timmy might not be the most popular kid, he has quite few friends. He is quite liked by a lot of his peers. He has his backup friends Elmer and Sanjay. Danny only has two friends. Not to mention Tootie, who is another friend that Timmy has. 5 to 2 friends in favor of Timmy, but Danny makes up for it in quantity, because his frienships are more deeper. Should I count Jazz as another friend of Danny? Do relatives as friends? Later Danny and Valerie became friends, but she only likes half of him, she hates the other half with a passion. Half a friend is better than nothing.
Next the popular kids, there are some simularties but they are different. The numbers is the same, it is 4 to each side. I passionately think Trixie and Paulina are completely different. Anyone who thinks otherwise have their heads up the Timmy / Tootie ship. They are both shallow, they both the top popular girl, and the main character has (in Danny's case had) a crush on them, but other than that different. Trixie is not as mean as people like to make her to be (aka the Timmy / Tootie shippers), Paulina is much more meaner and evil than Trixie could ever be.
At first glance, you compare Dash to Tad and Chad, but Dash is more like Francise in the role he plays. If you combine Francise with Tad and Chad, that equals Das. He has the smugness and self superioty of Tad and Chad, but the bully nature of Francise. Das is more closer to being like Francise than he has the two smug popular boys in Dimmsdale Elementory.
Two chracters that are mir images and Mr. Hartman even sort of said it, is Veronica and Star. They are both the second teer popular girl, and the lackies to the popular kid cliche and in particular the top popular girl. The one bad thing that Trixie and Paulina have in common, they both treat their best friends not very nicely, or as said in the FOP episode "Power Pals" like sidekicks. But I do think desptite that, they did have good possitve times as well with their best friends especially Trixie and Veronica.
There is no character like Quan on the Fairly Odd Parents. The lesser of two evils male jock character, who actully when he is not around Das, is actully seems to be a nice guy.
Last but not least, the wild card characters, who don't really fit in either of the two categories I mention, they are similar in a way. Remy and Valerie, they both have backstories that make them a little sympathic characters, but they still try to hurt our heros. Though Remy is more devious about it. Valerie really trying to do what she thinks is the right thing, Remy couldn't care a dam about right and wrong.
