The Strangers

its mainly a warning for those with sky movies, don't bother i just watched it on anytime and it was god awful, watching paint dry for 80mins is what you can expect.

I loved it, really freaked out when I watched it at the cinema, perhaps on a small TV screen it doesn't have the same effect.

There was actual screaming when I went to see it from the majority of the crowd, never heard anything like it at a 15 before. Never really heard anything like it at an 18 certificate either.

I'd give it a healthy 3.5 out of 5. For Horror fans I'd definitely recommend it.

Lol! The Final Destination movies aren't scary! They're more like comedies with those daft OTT deaths.

I just finished watching The Strangers and thought it was great, i strongly disagree with the OP. I love horrors that focus on the psychological element rather than excessive gore and this delivered the former in spades.

If you want something similar to this but infinitely more intense in terms of terrorisation then i highly recommend the french film 'Inside', be warned though that it makes The Strangers look like a kiRAB film. The creepy stalker woman in 'Inside' actually gave me nightmares, lol.

I don't need gore and quite enjoy psychological thrillers and the like but this just seemed to drag on and on, plus as usual the victims lacked common-sense.

If I am honest I am not big on horror movies in general.

I admit it might me a better film in a cinema but watching it on tv, i felt like nothing was ever going to happpen and when it did it was a bit dull and predictable at times.

Watched this last night. Started quite slowly but it got better once all the door and window banging kicked off. That was most creepy. As was the fella appearing in the kitchen and vanishing.

Then it all ended a bit suddenly.
