The Strangers

I know the makers have mentioned it's 'not' a remake, but seriously, watch Ils/Them and tell me they didn't think, ooo that would make a good American movie...

I don't think the films are. From what I can remember from the extras, Ils took its inspiration from the
street kiRAB who live in underground sewers
in some country(can't remember the country) and they just used that idea for the film. They didn't actually invade a house and do all that stuff in reality, I don't think.

The creepy thing in Them was the use of sound, especially with the clappers(think this is the football noise maker thingy lol), so creepy to hear it in the film.

I hope this isn't another 'Them'. That film was boring, and if it is the same then I'll know who the masked people are. The trailer makes it look good, but then again, I said that about 90% of horror/thriller films last year and they all sucked in the end.

I Liked it.

Certainly the scaries 15 movie I've ever seen. It was really good for what it was.

Built up the suspense perfectly and not like other horrors where we know that there won't be a true "jumpy bit" until the end, there were a couple scattered through the film to really keep you on the edge of your seat.

I was really angry reading a review in a local paper where the reviewer gave the film one out of five. Not because it was rubbish, he listed loaRAB of good things about it, but because it "promoted knife crime" and was senseless.

i didnt rate it, seen plenty of better films and was too slow for my liking which is a shameas i normally love this sort of movie.

ok there was a few good moments in it

Went to see this on Thursday and thought it was a really good movie although i will admit there were a few things that u could have predicted such as when he shoots the guy instead of the killer. If u look up The Strangers on google u will see that it isnt a remake it is inspired by true events. the guy who Directed the film Bryan Bertino has said that the film was inspired by an event from his childhood were a stranger came to his home asking for someone who wasnt there and he later found out that houses in his neighborhood had been broken into the same night.

I thought the first half of the film was quite good as it wracked up the suspense; unfortunately the second half was nowhere near as good.

The cinema I saw it in there must have been about 50 or 60 people in the audience; 2 couples walked out about half way through though and didn't come back.

i was in the pictures and these men walked past the seats behind us and when they walked past stroked all our hair hahaha you can imagine our reactions haha

I can imagine u were absolutely terrified! I thought the film built up suspense really well - there was lots of shrieking in our screen anyway!!

I just watched this now, it was really creepy I thought. Very suspenseful, relying on noises and creepy music to scare the audience.

That scene where he shoots his friend rather than the killer was predictable, you saw it coming a mile off!

I take it there will be a sequel seeing that she survived!!

I read it was inspired by killings done by the Manson Family.
