The Strangers

You'd be suprised mate.

Check out the Crime and Investigation channel and see some of the real life nutters and how nothing seems to deter them.
 
I enjoyed the film, but as someone said, its a matter of personal taste. Not the best film of 2008, but not the worst by a long shot.
 
I want to see this, but at the same time I don't.

I'm terrified of masks, and the trailer for it scares me too.

I think I'll have to watch it at home, I can hide then :D
 
Saw it in the USA over the summer and thought it was ok - but the trailer being shown at the moment in my opinion take away all the surprise and suspense - why show the people in masks!
Also I'm pretty sure there was no 'you are going to die' statement in the version I saw.
 
I really enjoyed it and thought it had a lot of tense moments.
I imagine the door banging will sound great on a decent set up.

Which is a French film done first 'Ils'

If you want to watch the Strangers I would suggest waiting until it comes out on dvd and watch 'Ils' first. FAR FAR more scary.

Absolutely nothing happens in the Strangers.

I could have made the film myself!
 
Thought it was pretty bad to be honest. Could've been condensed into a 20min short without losing much story. The fact that LT couldn't use her mobile because it was charging really made me laugh, and there wasn't much gore, or suspense. Very average. If anything all this film did for me was make Funny games look better. Naomi Watts did a far better job of convincing me that she was scared, and how after being stabbed repeatably in the chest and stomach did LT manage that big final scream?
Yawnfest.
