So I went out to the bar on Friday. I met a girl there, and we proceeded to get drunk. I spent about $100 on jagerbombs that night.
I stopped at a grocery store on the way home to pull $40 for her cab ride home. Leaving the store, she tripped and twisted her ankle. She said she was fine so we went back to my place and did the nasty.
Afterward, she got dressed and we called a cab. The cab got there and she left.
So far so good.....
fast forward to today. I get a call from the cops asking me what I did on Friday night. He asked me if I knew (her name here) and I said I did. I explained what went on that night and explained that she drank as much as I did and I'm a pretty small guy. She wasn't inebriated to the point that she was falling down or showing any signs of blacking out.
Apparently she woke up in the morning with no recollection of the previous evening once she met me. Her ankle hurt and she was covered with bruises and hickies. So she went to the cops, understandably, and had a rape kit done and the rape kit said she was a little tore up but they didn't know why. (well, maybe because we were both drunk...).
So she calls me and we talk about it. She didn't remember coming back to my place or anything but she certainly wasn't distressed by it. She knows I wouldn't have done anything to hurt her, but she couldn't remember anything after she met me. So we go back and start talking about what happened before she met me and here's what happened:
This native guy came over and brought her a drink about a half an hour before she met me. So we're betting that this guy spiked her drink, especially since there have been reports of this going on for about the last month at the same bar. I meet her, take her home, do our business, and she goes home.
I've never seen ruphenol or date-rape or whatever the fuck people are using these days before. But it's pretty scary since she acted completely normal that entire night, and the only side-effects are a lapse in memory.
She's since called the cops and closed the case since we now know what happened, but needless to say I was pretty worried for a while. What could have happened if this chick hadn't have met me?
So the moral of the story today is:
Ladies, if you are at the bar and someone wants to buy you a drink, if you don't know them keep an eye on them. Don't accept a drink that they brought over unless the bartender made it in front of you.
