I've tried to transfer the songs the way everybody else does and the manuel says, but it doesn't work. Anyone else I talk to has no problems with their's. Help!

Try looking for where the song files are located other than the actual program of WMP - like in the "My Music" folder or something like that. And then go on your itunes, go to File > Add files to Library and go to the folder which holds all your music and add click add. If you want to add a lot, you can always hold down shift or ctrl - I don't remember which one - to highlight all the files and then click add. It works for me. Hope that helps. :)

What sort of files do you have in your Windows Media Player? Chances are they are .wmv or .avi. According to Apple:

"You can add audio files that are in AAC, MP3, WAV, AIFF, Apple Lossless, or Audible.com (.aa) format. If you have unprotected WMA content, iTunes for Windows can convert these files to one of these formats. Video content in QuickTime or MPEG-4 format can also be added to iTunes."

Files not in one of the above formats need to be converted to a compatible one before they can be imported into iTunes.
