the smell of cigarettes/ the taste brings me good memories is this weird?

Funny it's the same for me. I didn't like it but my ex smoked and I could sometimes taste it on him when we kissed and I guess I miss it so even the smell of the smoke reminds me of him even though I don't smoke and don't like it when people smoke.
 
i dont smoke but sometimes i will smell cigarettes or randomly taste it in my mouth it brings me good memories does this happen to anyone else
 
Reminds me of jr. high when I would sneak out and go to the park with my boyfriend and we'd smoke

i used to enjoy the smell until i was getting 2nd hand chest pains im assuming. now i try to avoid it and get pissed off when people smoking around me.
 
yeah sometimes i get feelings like that even watching movies...

ex: sound of music when she brings in the new materials for making clothes...(dont ask! XD)

it happens to me but not with cigarrets.......the smell of paint brings me good memories bout wen i was a lil girl. i dont know why but i lov it
 
well I mean it could remind you of good times you had with people who smoke, or around places that smelled like smoke.
 
i don't think its weird. i don't smoke but i like the smell of them right when they;re lit. i don't know why though :) haha
 
any type of smell from the past will strike up memories. sometimes i still smell things that remind me of 2nd grade, and i'm 21.

It reminds me of my dad.

and i also reminds me of a hot summer day with my ex-boyfriend. ive always loved the smell.
