is it a modern book?
for my book report, i have to read a modern book but my teacher said it could basically be anything we want, like coming of age, historical fiction, mystery, anything like that.

she has to approve the book and i need to know what genre it is.
 
Yeah, it's modern. It takes place today and has modern references is in it. Great book! I would classify it as coming of age, because they're all leaving each other for the first time and growing up a little.
