The Simpsons - "To Surveil With Love" - Talkback [5/2]

It was an ok episode.
Not a favorite, but at least it wasn't as horrible as some episodes were this season  I at least laughed a bit in this one. I give this one a 3/5.

Despite having one of the stupides opening in the history of yellow cartoon characters, the episode was actualy pretty darn funny. The shoving of gerbils/hamstes down Rod's throat was a LOL moment.

8/10.

I agree, that opening with the characters dancing to some terrible pop song was just as stupid as having Maggie dance to Britney Spears all those years ago.

The rest of the episode was decent though.

The only problems were the blond thing not really working, I thought they would go a different direction with the debate club. And the real crimes being murders didn‘t sit right with me.

But otherwise, there’s more to like then not.
Been a while since I watched a music video. It was an amusing change.

Also found that funny.

Best part was Homer and Stupid Flanders getting together for some vandalism.

Just because the 'video' contained Simpsons characters doesn't make it a parody (unless it followed and made fun of the orignal video scene by scene) and this song was aimed at 12-17yr olds, the biggest audience of "pop" music.

Great Episode :anime:
Tik Tok is the best Couch Gag ever :anime:
My favorite part is Chief Wiggum seeing the women sunbathing in the security camera XD

So I guess they'll do some song by new flavor of the month B.o.B. next episode. I guess these hacks should get as much exposure as they can before their 15 minutes are up.

Cool episode. Some great lines, like when Grandpa ran his car into Lisa's school: "The building cut me off!" and when Flanders said "Play God? That's the biggest sin of all, for some reason!" I also liked how Flanders and Homer made peace and got rid of all of the security cameras. Loved the opening too. Excellence!

Actually, the whole reason for the couch gag had to do with a "sweeps week" promotion that Fox is doing this week, similar to Kayne West guest starring on tonight's Cleveland Show and the "musical numbers" bit that appeared on the second half of Family Guy.
