Contest for tonight's episode

Simpsons fans who feel as though their once-beloved show is slipping away from them, you now have the chance to make your voices heard and affect the future of the series, albeit in the most insignificant way possible. Following the May 22 season finale, in which Ned Flanders and Edna Krabappel will fall in love according to the mathematical combination set that dictates all modern Simpsons storylines, Fox will launch an interactive contest where viewers can vote on whether the couple—known by its already-irritating portmanteau, “Nedna”—should stay together next season. All summer long, you’ll be able to log onto the official Simpsons website to register your vote as “Pro Nedna” or “No Nedna” [Pause for obligatory “Democracy just doesn’t work” quote] as well as download videos, wallpapers, Facebook and Twitter badges, and other things that will let your friends know you’re really invested in a minor plotline from The Simpsons. In case you’re wondering, we’re voting a straight “Let’s Pretend This Contest Isn’t Happening And Don’t Ever Say ‘Nedna’ Again” ticket.

We got a tornado warning here in the Chicago area, so we missed the whole first three minutes.

"I'm a teacher in the bathroom with a student. That's why most of these people are in here."

The results are going to be "no." You can't push one coupling for 20 years and then suddenly change your mind. Your audience won't accept it.

Great episode :anime:
My favorite parts are Homer throwing Bart at Ned Flanders and Ned Flanders seeing different characters faces on Edna XD
as for the Nedna pairing i don't know what to vote for
EDIT: I voted Yes

This episode is solid mediocrity.

There wasn't anything horribly stupid like Marge and Maggie chasing the flatulence train, or Milhouse Rising, but there wasn't any S22 funniness like in "Homer the Father." This episode was just on solid "meh." And the only LOL moment was Ned repossessing the tumbleweed after Homer's garage was cleaned out.

Overall, a 7/10.

And I voted, with great reservation, "Pro Nedna" on the grounds the current staff can barely write anything funnier than a tax return.

Yea, I was a fan of Enda and Skinner, but that relationship had grown pretty stagnant even before they broke up. If Edna were getting together with any character other than Ned, (He's one of my favorites.) I would have voted no.

Anyway, I kind of feel like I'm being a traitor or something, but I can't deny that I'm curious how this new pairing might be handled.

I'm for this. When they dropped the ball with Edna and Skinner's wedding, that's when I lost my patience with the Simpsons and quit watching for a few years. They hyped that up only to have them break up and in an episode that was essentially the same plot as that one episode where Bart dates McBain's daughter, which in turn was another episode I hated.

If the majority votes for "No Nedna", not only am I going to stop watching again, but it'll essentially prove to me that modern day Simpsons fans can't accept anything outside the stagnant status quo, which is one of this show's current problems.

As for the episode itself, I've seen worse but it isn't really anything that made me laugh or kept me entertained.
