The Simpsons - "The Greatest Story Ever D'ohed" - Talkback [3/28]

I have to say, this has got to be the dullest episode of the Simpsons I've ever seen. It wasn't funny, Homer was annoying, and I barely sympathized with Flanders. I didn't even laught once. The only thing close to being funny moment was the Porky Pig, and the "malls on land" joke.
I dunno why though.

I spent a year in Israel, and believe it or not, I did meet some people like the tour guide. Alot of the episode was inaccurate though, especially the geography by the western wall, considering I've walked those streets numerous time and know it better than my own neighborhood.

Caught it on Hulu, and the thing I found odd was the ads that Hulu put in the episode were more interesting than the actual episode itself. I shouldn't have even wasted the bandwidth to watch this.

just catching up on a few things and yeah this was horrible. it was offensive, annoying, and totally unfunny.

the offensiveness was nowhere near as big of a outrage to me as the annoying unfunnyness. i think i am actual angry at how bad this episode was. it just sucked sooo much. the cohen voice was like the only thing they rode any hope of funny on and it failed horribly. yeah no it is official this episode has made me angry based off of how unfunny and annoying it was.

honestly i did not have too big of a problem with the religious parts but the fact that the episode was such a putrid piece of horse vomit it made me focus on what they were actually saying about religion. which i know they were not trying to do because aside from believe in peace and chicken they had nothing to say about religion.

this is almost a show stopper for me. if it was not for the episode a few weeks ago where bart played his parents against each other i don't think i would ever watch new episodes ever again, as i would have no faith that the writers could ever be funny again. this episode pissed me off so much with just how abraded it was. AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!

not since FG's bird is the word episode have i hated anything more. just AAHHHHHH! why is it everyone relies on the lowest form of ingratiating repetitiveness to try and nail a joke with a rusty screw driver through our ear when they talk about religion. i am trying to express into words how pissed off this episode has made me in an effort to relieve some irritation but it is not working. i love the simpsons but this is one of the biggest steaming pile of turds i have ever seen.

my only thoughts of redemption for the simpson is that they are either trying to help FOX cancel them or maybe cohen just really bugs me that badly. either way this goes #2 behind bird is the word for LEAST FUNNY THING EVER!!

just for the record there was no laughter in this episode for me, in case you could not tell, but the porky bit was funny and the line "without the groin there is no krav maga" made me smile. after that it was all i want to stab myself in the eye so that way at least the pain would be self inflicted.

Wow, what a rant. You must really offend easy if this steaming pile got to you.

I don't think there was anything offensive about this episode. It wasn't well written enough to succeed in being offensive. The only thing offensive about it was how stupid it was.

yeah usually i don't get this upset about nothing but this just got under my skin for some reason.

honestly this is not a religiously spoored rant this just pissed me off.

it is possible i spun myself into a frenzy while typing and any pent up frustration went out into this rant, but this episode was so frustrating i wanted to punch a bunny.

the thing that bugged me was that it almost seemed like it went out of its way to personally slap me on the nose and dare me to turn it off.

i smiled twice throughout the episode, they were not saying anything provocative or thought provoking it was just the most annoying and pathetic thing i have ever seen from the simpsons. TV can try too hard to be funny sometimes but this was definitely not the case here. they took the gags we grew tired of 12 years ago, slapped on the most annoying voice cohen could come up with, tossed in some ned plot and took a big steaming dump where my computer was.

i think what has ingratiated me so much was that i was in a good mood before i saw that episode. then after all that was left was frustration, bitterness, and a sense of personal betrayal. the simpsons have never sucked this bad, i have always stuck up for them and then they do this.

taking things like this personally is not a good thing but it left me frustrated, and annoyed which lead to my anger, which of course leads to the dark side.

the only good thing from this is that i have had a chance to break out my thesaurus because without that big ol' book of mine all these posts would have been filled with is @%^ &@#****%& ^#@ &^ %@#& %@&# %^&% @#^% &%^& @!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

in short not even comic book guy's "worst Episode EVER!!" can not begin to fathom this gelatinous pile of suck.
