The Simpsons - "The Good, the Sad and the Drugly" - Talkback [4/19]

First, this is the strangest coincidence I've had with my and the Simpsons online:

1. I was planning using a montage in my fanscript "My Little Homie" that was going to include "What a wonderful world" by Louie Armstrong, but now that's now not possible.

and...

2. I was comparing the Simpsons to Shrek (in terms of quality two days ago) on TV.com.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Anyway, for the epiosde itself, I actually enjoyed Lisa's drugging out more than the Bart/Jenny romance angle which was pretty much by the numbers, the biggest laugh came from the "He made me swim in 7-up." And for Lisa...the Smiley faced mind-trip sequences were all funny, especially was Wiggum being shot and the giant "puddle" smiley grew larger on the sidewalk.

Anyway, I'd say this is a 3.5/5, rounded up to a 4 for nothing really retarded.

This was pretty much an opposite of when Milhouse fell in love with Samantha and Bart was upset, with Milhouse now being upset with Bart falling in love. I did laugh a little at Homer deciding between a drumstick and a corn cob to kill a fly, and then ends up headbutting it.

I got some real laughs out of this episode, it was really fun. I'm surprised it was pretty funny right up to the end.

We actually got two good episodes in a row, is this a record for the recent seasons?

This ep had such a good earlier-season feeling to it. This show is really getting back on track.

Note to Lisa: cheer up. Word just came that arctic ice is actually expanding. So foo on global warming. One less thing to stress about. Whee! Or to put it in happy pill language: :)

I give this ep 4 :):):):)
