The Simpsons - "The Bob Next Door" - Talkback [5/16]

Well, this was perhaps Bob's freakiest appearance. I found it pretty nasty with the literal face stealing. Couldn't he have just used a mind-switcher? I think it's obvious that Frink has one of those. Funny how he ended up being caught in this episode, though it was ashame that the family wasn't much help. I wonder what happened to Walt? I hope he got his face back. And to be fair, he was suppose to be released so he can't really go back to jail for breaking out. Hilarious at the end there. Can't the Simpsons every catch a break?

Ok, giving my actual review on the episode.
I loved it a lot. It had some great moments, to name a few

-Sideshow Bob as another person even stepping on a rake.

-Barts yap yap thing to Bob as he's talking LOL.

-Going to Mexico. You'd think Lisa would be all Uh Dad I kind of have to agree with him but Homer could be all no butts Lisa LOL. Oh well, funny scene any ways.

-The opeaning was pretty dang funny. Long but funny, I don't think any of the characters have ever really talked in the opeaning before :p

-I liked how it was resolved.

-The lady at the restaurant saying there either gay or there faces are falling off made me LOL the most.

-The

Few Cons

-Seeing Bob transform wasn't really needed, it was kind of yuck.

Over all I loved the episode, probaly the best of the season for me.
Um Bob's become really obssesed with killing Bart though since :p

Another great episode, I surprised how far Bob will go to kill bart(he literally stole someone's face!), but that kind of determination is what makes him awesome.

one of the better episodes this season. nothing too great, but i was chuckling the whole way through, which is all you can ask for when it comes to newer episodes of the simpsons.

I didn't mind the Face Off parody, but when Bob's and Walt's faces came off later in the episode....uh, that was freaking stupid.

The rest of it had its moments of mediocrity.

3/5.

Gotta say, the second half was stronger than the first. I did enjoy the misleading silhouettes, Bart and Milhouse singing, Sideshow Bob running down his convoluted plan, as well as his confusing attempt at breaking the law.

Can't forget the rake gag making a return either.

Surprised no one has mentioned the appearance of the Five Corners. That was a little self-tribute on the show's part that I really appreciated.

I have another word for it: reaching.

Even with improved jokes since I last saw it, a lot of it just felt forced really.

The switching faces thing was the ultimate buzzkill moment for me.

I'm glad I don't watch this show anymore; the only reason I saw this one was cuz I'd gotten home from work, and my Dad said it was a Bob episode--I'm a die-hard Bob/Kelsey Grammar fan.

Ah, the Sideshow Bob episodes. For whatever reason, no matter how much the quality of the show dips, those episodes always seem to remain entertaining. And this one was no exception. I mean, the jokes were of pretty average "modern Simpsons" quality, or perhapes just slightly above, but the sheer fact that the plot was actually interesting and had you wanting to see what was going to happen next is enough for me to consider it the best of this season.
