The episode was okay.
The only thing I find so odd is Skinner looking so young when he looked older in Vietnam.
It reminds me of those "flashback" episodes in Everybody Loves Raymond.
Ray and Deborah looked so young in the first season (especially Deborah) and when there is an episode based on their younger days it looks like they have not aged.

Very funny for the pool of worms trick.
Did Milhouse recover from the real snake in the Pringles chip can trick though the real snake was fangless and sucked blood or something like that?
I even liked the "12 Days of Christmas" couch gag for the opening credits.

The worms was typical gross "new" Simpsons humor.
I can't believe people will defend something so horrible as not only Skinner diving into a pool of worms and them being in his mouth, but being forced to stay under there for 3 whole days...even ignoring food and air.
Absolutely sickening. If this was a "good" episode, we're in serious trouble.

Well, they got you. This is actually a rehashed plot from within the past 5 years, I believe! But like you, I can't remember the episode, for the same reason. Clever...
Anyway, I do think this ended up being fairly different from whichever episode I'm thinking of... but it certainly wasn't particularly good. That's about it I guess.
