The Simpsons Movie Vs Transformers

I have seen both these films and really enjoyed them both - for very different reasons.

This weekend is probably the first real "box office battle" of the summer where two big films have gone up against each other.

The Simpsons will probably win (due to the wider appeal) but how close will it be?

Anyone?
 
Well, at the cinema i just went to, Transformers was getting royally owned by The Simpsons movie (which i saw). Simpsons was all sold out from 2pm, but Transformers wasn't even listed as "limited".
 
Transformers all the way!

Nothing could beat that movie, its that good!

I've only seen it online about 10-15 times and its sitll very enjoyable and its funnier than the simpsons! (Nearly everything is actually)
 
ok, so now ive seen both

Transformers 10/10
Simpsons 8/10

Simpsons is a great film, but on cinematic, throwaway, wam bam action Transformers gets it.

My 7yr old master screen was asked which he liked best and he said transformers

He was asked if he could see both again, which one would he choose first? answer , transformers

Well Cineworld where I was had a Simpsons starting every 30 minutes. All the ones had sparodic film times throughout the day. Our Simpsons was near on full.

I loved it i've not laughed as much ever in my time!! Absolutly brillliant!! loved every minute of it.
 
I've seen both films.

I loved The Simpsons Movie. I hated Transformers.

Which was odd, because I was expecting to love Transformers and be disappointed by The Simpsons.

The Simpsons Movie was genuinely funny, touching, had a decent storyline, and there was a really good atmosphere amongst the audience. Everyone was laughing, a good time was had by all, and the humour was much more in keeping with the earlier, funnier seasons of the show.

Transformers was a huge disappointmnt. It's a Michael Bay film, so clearly the effects were brilliant. But the storyline was utter garbage, and the script was truly dreadful. After the opening action sequence there's about 30 minutes of non-action, and the dialogue in this portion was so awful, so cringeworthy, that I felt really quite uncomfortable. The characters have no depth whatsoever, and so subsequently I found myself not caring about the fates of the humans or the robots. By halfway through the film I was utterly bored. And it's not like I don't enjoy action films. I went in fully prepared for non-stop action, but it just didn't hold my attention at all.
 
Ive not seen Transformeres but our showing of the simpsons (at 6:30 - at a very busy cineworld) wasn't that full, whether people in our area wait a while after te release due to the lack of cinemas might be an adding factor.

I still think the simpsons movie will kick transformers ass.
