The Simpsons Movie - COMING SOON!!!

I found this out a while ago so sorry if you already know :)
But apparentely there'll be a Simpsons Movie coming out in 2007 and the reason why it's coming out this late is because Matt Groening has been picking up ideas throughout the years, at the moment I don't know what's going to happen but I found this out on www.tv.com.
If this happens I can't wait, hope it isn't a let down and ruins the whole Simpsons run.

Love The Simpsons especially the earlier seasons, however some of the jokes are getting slighty repetitive now.
 
I think its a bit weird that they are making a movie. Why do people always feel they need to branch out into different things, eg popstars taking up acting and bringing out perfumes
 
Get the feeling this is 5-7 years too late?

IMHO seasons 3-7 were the sharpest and funniest. The show was also far more in the popular eye back then...
 
He's been promising a Simpsons movie since 1990 so I won't hold my breath!

It does beg the question though, do we NEED a Simpsons movie ? I'm not convinced.

If it does eventually get made, should it be a cinema release or just go straight to DVD like the new Family Guy movie?

IMHO it should be the later.
 
Has anyone seen that episode of The Simpsons where Homer is in New York and he badly neeRAB the toilet so he goes up one of the twin towers all the way to the top, but then it says the toilets closed and then adRAB go up the other tower and that's all I can remember, I've just all of a sudden remembered it and was wondering who else has seen it ?
 
Yeah I have seen that episode before but I dont think they show it any more after 9/11!
The reports of the Simpsons movie came out about a few months ago so it is slightly old news and there was another thread about the movie!
The family guy direct to DVD is not out untill Spetember in the US and there is no UK release date as of yet!(For more details see the Family Guy Thread!)
