A new episode airs tonight at 8 PM Eastern. Here is the synopsis:

There's nothing cooler than calling yourself cool. A convo from "Homerpalooza" comes to mind-

Homer: So, I realized that being with my family is more important than being cool.
Bart: Dad, what you just said was powerfully uncool.
Homer: You know what the song says: "It's hip to be square".
Lisa: That song is so lame.
Homer: So lame that it's... cool?
Bart+Lisa: No.
Marge: Am I cool, kids?
Bart+Lisa: No.
Marge: Good. I'm glad. And that's what makes me cool, not caring, right?
Bart+Lisa: No.
Marge: Well, how the hell do you be cool? I feel like we've tried everything here.
Homer: Wait, Marge. Maybe if you're truly cool, you don't need to be told you're cool.
Bart: Well, sure you do.
Lisa: How else would you know

I liked it. Despite a few modern era "run on" gags, everything that didn't involve the 'origin' of the scar was hillarious. I'd give a 8/10. (B+)

BTW, too bad they didn't could make the episode in less than 8 months--Bart taking a picture of his butt with a number "4" scribbled on it and texting it to 5th grade class would've been hillarious.

The only parts I laughed is Homer being happy to see Flanders at the end and the random lesbianism.

Because we all know married mothers who are friends cheat on their husbands with each other.

I liked it. It was a good Marge-Bart episode. I loved seeing the families and citizens in the flashbacks, an Everyman poster on the Dungeon, and real stuff instead of parodies (Skype, 4 Seasons).

Gags I liked: Ralph being dropped on the head, the bar fight scene with the teachers, Marge's brain, Homer's books (Already Solved Crosswords, Sudoku Number Choices), "Spuckler Daycare Center, Just toss'em in the pile!", rain or shine, Sharks VS Jets, and Homer happy to see Flanders in the end.

So, 8.9/10.

I agree, last night's episode was pretty enjoyable.
The bar fight in the Teacher's lounge and Bart's dream were pretty funny.
I was suprised that Bart was getting tired of hanging with the 5th graders, but there's only so much wanton mayhem a kid can take.

This was a very enjoyable episode of The Simpsons. It was weird when Bart and a 5th Grader noticed they both had the same scar on their hand. Marge and Homer both using the toilet as a chair when the lid is down was strange but funny too since Homer had tax information from the year before in a box next to the toilet. I couldn't believe after only two times with the other boys Bart decided he didn't want to spend time with them anymore. The scene with Marge's brain was funny. I really enjoyed the story Comic Book Guy told Bart and Lisa about how the 4 boys got a scar. The ending with Homer happy to see Flanders was great to see.

I really liked this episode. I thought it was legitimately funny, I mean i wasn't too concerned about how bart and the rest got that scar, but i loved the interaction between homer and the other dads. Easily my favorite line was "Asinine! Everything you say is asinine!"

But yeah, i thought it was a well done episode.
