The Simpsons - "Flaming Moe" - Talkback [1/16]

The episode itself wasn't terrible, but what irks me is I wish this could've been one time they kept a new character around (the music teacher). She could've been a good satire of a 'new age' music teacher that winds up butting heads with school admistration for her teaching methods down the road, but alas...

On the otherhand, the main plot was a yawner--Oh, the fake suspense of whether Moe will come out and and admit he's not gay. Of course he will, just as Mo's will go back to Moe's and the status quo maintains its grip like a noose on a just hung man.

Some laughs in this one, especially Comic Book Gay and Bart's prank on Willie in the background.

I agree with that, actually. And Mr. Largo just...left...does this mean he's not coming back?

This episode could've been better. The subplot of Bart and Skinner should have been the main plot. I knew that Moe's would go back to normal in the end. The new music teacher would have been a good addition to the cast but it wasn't meant to be.

Great episode! I liked that the Simpsons took a backseat (Lisa had one line, and Maggie wasn't there!), the past gays appearences (John from "Homer's Phobia, the old guy who hit on Grandpa on "Catch 'Em If You Can!" & the Sect Leader), & more screentime for Smithers. But I REALLY disliked the Burns' brain gag. Best gags: "Ah! A dinosaur!", the Scrabble gag, the Vogue thingy, "angel Moe" & devil Moe, the fake pretzels & first aid kit, the fake montages & Willie the principal.Great episode! Forgot to say my opinion on the episode, the main plot was odd I just couldn't get into it. Skinners plot would have worked better as the main plot, in my opinion any ways. I laughed at a lot of Barts jokes mainly though, the prank on Willie than him becoming principle at the end, irony LOL. Over all a very meh episode.
