Tonight is the season finale for the show. Here's the synopsis for this episode:

Oh my god I loved this episode! Solid laughs and some sad truths in equal measure. I've always liked Krusty - what a great character he is - one of my favorite Simpsons eps is the Jazz Singer parody where Jackie Mason played Krusty's disapproving kantor father - and he was hilariously neurotic in this one. As for Lisa succumbing to the addiction of making people laugh...you have to ask yourself: why else would anyone try to make a living doing comedy? Damn tough business, not for the faint of heart. It's gotta be an addiction. And I loved this exchange:

Krusty (to Lisa) Kid, you're the best thing to happen to this business since...

Lisa: Mitzi Gaynor?

Krusty: Well, I was going to say "cheap Korean animation", but that'll do.

(BTW, I actually know who Mitzi Gaynor is. Long story).

And the subplot about Bart and Homer's new coin-collecting hobby was clever too. "Kissing Lincoln" LOL. All in all this was classic Simpsons IMO. 10/10.

It was a decent episode, although I would have liked to see more of Lisa being devious, we got very little evidence that she was pulling the strings for her own gain. There were some good laughs (Comic Book Guy anyone?) and Homer & Bart's subplot was good. The part with Homer and Burns was absolutely classic Simpsons writing, with evil Burns and everything.

Overall, I think this episode caps a rather good season and I hope that things improve come the Autumn.

Not the best of the night, but cracking anyway. 8/10

This was a nice season finale, I thought it wouldn't be that good but it turned out to be quite a solid episode with some great jokes. I especially like how they used Mel as the narrator, you never see him enough. The subplot wasn't bad either. The part where Homer ate the old pepperoni that was in the pennies made me laugh. Mmmmmm........terrible.

Not a great episode, but certainly a respectable one. You can tell they were trying. Krusty is still almost always a funny character, and the scenes with him felt very "right". The subplot wasn't bad either, especially the scene at the comic store. There weren't really any jokes I'll remember a year from now, though.

Better then I expected, because of the synopsis I read I was expecting this episode to be the one where Bart became Krusty's assistant and stole the spot light from him all over again. Lucky it had very little in common with that episode in how it was handled.

Also this was the best use of Side Show Mel in an episode ever. Mel has been annoying used mainly for one liners with his sophisticated voice, here being the narator and Lisa's guide was a step up for him. And we got some background information on him for the first time too. He threw away his chance o be a star to be Krusty's assistant and did not want lisa to throw away her Dignity ether. Not bad.

The Homer and Bart side plot was not bad ether. Homer tricking Mr. Burns was quite interesting.

8/10

I like Drew Carey's appearance at Krusty's 4,000th. show, but Drew didn't make any The Price is Right references.

I even liked the take off of the Mickey Mouse Club Mouseketteers called the Krustyteers - One of them was named "CUBBY"!

A 2 kissing Lincoln penny would never be reality.

I guess in September or November (Actor's strike pending) we see the start of the 2008-2009 Simpsons season, hope now that the 100 day WGA Writers Strike of 2007-2008 has been over I hope the Simpsons producers have the 2008 Treehouse of Horror episode ready for Halloween or the first week of November.
