The Simpsons - "500 Keys" - Talkback [5/15]

Question: When did Lisa start taking up the violin? She's usually playing her saxophone when she's leaving the band room.

"It was this or a Porsche!" with the fighter jet and the "Sailboat painting, couch, TV, Simpson Family Members, Maggie (suck suck)" word couch gag...Best.Opening.Titles.This.Season.

Close runner-up being "Homer lifts his shirt to show all his inner organs in plain sight" (Forgot the episode, but I know it wasn't a Halloween one).

Solid episode. Lots of laughs, and good premise that actually gave all the characters something to do (I particularly liked the fact that no matter how much he wanted to do, Bart couldn't cause any mischief).

I didn't get that vibe. 22 Short Films had intersecting stories, yeah, but it was also about spotlighting lesser characters. I got more of a "Trilogy of Error" feel from this, if it was all blended together and didn't take each plot one at a time.

Nelson implied that he had been held back more times than he can count, so, at least for this episode, he's a few years older than Bart.

Enjoyable episode. I liked how all the members of the Simpsons family had a plot this episode. I liked how Bart trying to do bad with keys led to good things happening both times. Lisa solving a mystery was great to watch. Homer flying a blimp was kind of cool.
