The Simpsons 4/27/08 - "Apocolpyse Cow!"

Somone beat me to it but, yes, TWICE! But was she mentioned in the credits? Certainly not as a guest voice. It was fun though, seeing as voice actors are rarely mentioned in the show, besides Dan Castellenata ( I spelled that wrong didn't I?)

I certainly hope that line wasn't the set-up for the whole episode, otherwise it ruined it for me. The show itself was OK, but definitely in the bottom half of the season for me. It was just a bit lacking in creativity; eating meat is bad, yeah, we've seen it all before. Although Homer saying he'd never eat meat again for two weeks was OK.

6/10

I had a great time with the episode but it wasn't a solid effort. If Homer in the slaughterhouse was played up a little more darkly (as I believe they would have in the earlier seasons) and spent a little more time with it (didn't they have an extended version of that and now I'm going to have to wait years and years to find out?) then that whole segment would have been worth it, but it felt a bit rushed. I liked that the marriage parts of the episode weren't really a huge focus, and it was more on 4H and the cow.

It gets a B+ from me but that feels a little generous (however, comparing it to FG's effort this week, which nabbed a B, it seems that The Simpsons put more effort into their showing).

Tress was in the credits.

Really enjoyed this ep. Glad to find that this season seems to indicate that the worst Simpsons years are behind it.
