It was on TV yesturday. This movie was made and acted so well. I wish it had come out in 1995. Because it vs Forrest Gump was too much.

Shawshank deserved all the awards it was nominated for. It's one of the best movies ever made. As much as I love The Godfather part 1, Shawshank is better
 
I watched this movie when I was really young and Brooks killing himself shocked me so much. I still to this day tear up thinking about it. :cry:
 
This is one of my top five all time fave movies! :D I read the story first so I was able to watch the movie from halfway through the first time I watched it with no problem. :) I loved it all the way through too. ;) It's just so well done and such a great story with awesome little side stories here and there. :nod: I tear up/cry when Brooks kills himself and when Tommy's killed. It's still shocking what Warden does to avoid things near the end. Overall, just a phenomenal (sp?) movie. 5 stars, three thumbs up, and loads of :clap: :D hehe.
 
This is my favorite movie, it just gets me every time I watch it. The cast is all amazing, giving performances that are believable keeping you glued to the screen. The music is chilling when it needs to be and warm hearted when it needs to be. Beautiful camera work and lighting, and showing the years going by with believability.
 
I saw this movie when i was younger... in my early teens, just the end.. so a few months later i saw it pretty much all the wya through....

then when when i got into watching the TV series Prison Break, It reminded me sooo much of this movie! There were sooo many similarities...
but as for most things you see just once or twice in your past.. i coudlnt remember all the details...

I just recently watched this movie again... and it is an amazing movie, even knowing how it ends, its still awsome to watch!!

there are soooooo many similarities between this movie and the TV series - Prison Breka (the 1st season) its almost like the Show was based off the movie.. with minor character and plot changes...

either way.. this movie is awsome! if you havent seen it, I would definatly recomend it!
