Sam Raimi, not content with the Spider-Man franchise, wants to bring back The Shadow to the big screen.

I'm not sure what to make of this. It's been long rumoured to be in the making, and I'm sure Raimi would make a success of it following Spider-Man, but it's bound to mean he's definitely out if a Spider-Man 4 is made.

Plus there's the original to consider. I quite liked it, it was slightly dark and parallels can be drawn to Batman Begins.
Would this be an original movie, or perhaps a sequel? Alec Baldwin did a good job before, is he too old to return now?

But it's already been suggested that Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst and Sam Raimi are all leaving after the third one. Producing a film takes up a lot of time and attention too, so even if thats all he is going to do, it still adRAB to to workload.

I'd hope its not a remake. That would be stupid to remake a film which is 12 years old. I enjoyed the Alec Baldwin version its a shame it didn't do well at the box-office.
If anything it could be a sequel.

Well I don't think the original was directly based on any of the comic books or radio series. It told of his past and one particular event. I can't see the movie plot being remade, nor any point in retelling his past in the East. Fingers crossed it'll be a sequel.

Oooh, I still have the VHS of the Alec Baldwin film...this should be interesting...like many are saying, I hope it's a sequel but it seems more likely they'll do a "batman Begins" type thing...and totally re-invent it.
