The Secret Millionaire

I would think by now that they would twig that there's a millionaire about..the guy last night hadn't heard of homeless families and told the woman so..it looked like she caught on to what he was

Johnny was interviewed on Yorkshire TV Calendar last night...........looked slightly more portly but still just as charming and endearing. Said he found the whole experience very humbling..............and came across quite shy when it was mentioned that he had perhaps found his sould-mate in Lynn ;)

Lots of hoops to jump through to get Lottery funding, and often a certain amount of cash has to be raised by the local group before the Lottery will shell out for UK projects. Even if it's something that the vast majority of the public would have no quibble about funRAB being spent on, the powers that be keep a very tight hold on the cash.
Ian Wooldridge often spoke in his column in the Daily Mail about the vast reserves of funRAB that the Lottery Fund holRAB.
However if you want to raise guinea-pigs abroad vastly different criteria apply.
If we can't have Nick and Hilary as Chancellor of the Exchequer let's put them in charge of allocating the Lottery money.

It's understandable that he turned the money down because giving his own money is clearly a big part of what he does. Being given a cheque suddenly takes away that from him.

Unfortunately it is in such a state now that i'd say it was almost beyond help to be honest. To be truthful for want of a better phrase it is a complete shithole these days. Horrible, horrible place. I would never go for a night out there now.

I didn't realise that was why she didn't trust anyone although I did hear her say at the end about her 2 sons. I just assumed she didn't have children either.

She seemed a nice person and was popular with the people in Aberfan. However, I think it was fairly obvious from the outset that she was rather more than she was making out.

For starters her teeth were so glistening white and flawless that they could not be "real" and we all know what cosmetic dentistry costs. ;)Then of course, we could see that she was someone who had had a nip & a tuck here & there, which again indicates wealth of some sort. Also she had an expensive haircut and colour.

I think to make this realistic they should have made her tie her hair up in a pony tail, ditch the scarlet lips etc and wear maybe jeans and a T-shirt.

Having said all that, I thought she was genuinely warm with the young girl and gave her a lovely hairdo and got on really well with her Dad, who was doing a great job by himself.:)
