...signals detected? I am aware from the book “Pale Blue Dot”, out of the millions analysed I know it to be eleven exceptional detections and not one of them could be verified second time round. They all “disappeared”. That was about 15 years ago.
 
I'm not sure. I'll say that right off the bat.

This National Geographic site (article circa 2003) gave a number of 166 "promising" signals.

I'm very skeptical of that figure, however.

I'll see if I can find out better and/or more recent information...
