The scene outside the parents house in Transformers...

It was ok, but it was a huge fn cop out. They could have been creative and made something way funnier happen. Tank has a point. You guys are just getting mad because he's pointing out the obvious - that you swallow up cliched cookie-cutter scenes in summer blockbusters because you like the sheep you so love to hate.

Where did I say once that the storyline was cliche? I'm simply saying that these "jokes" are simply rehashed filler. I'm not being anal, I'm simply saying that THAT SCENE has been done before countless times. I'm not bitching about "oh boy, another coming of age story about a boy buying his first car". In fact I think that was the better done, more interesting part of the whole movie. It's now what they did that annoyed me, it's how they did it.

Plus, I didn't say it ruined the movie for me, the lack of character development in the later half of the film did that and they could have used this recycled scene as time to do that. It's like a comedian doing a joke about how bad food is on airplanes....how many times do we really need to hear what is essentially the same fucking joke?

It was funny but too long. Of course it was cliche and rehashed, but then just about everything is. I enjoyed the movie, overall it was funny, had some sweet action scenes and the girl was hot. I never expected a great story so I came out happy.

You, and Michael Bay, who wouldn't do the entire movie unless he got to have that scene.

Imagine, we could've saved ourselves from Michael Bay somehow....if that scene wasn't in there.
