The ring 2

Watched the Japanese Ring 1, and the US Ring 2.

I managed to spot an eerie coincidence.

They both suck exactly the same as each other.

What an unbelievable waste of time. I really, really didn't see or get any scary bits. I keep thinking I've missed something.

Scooby-Doo has scarier scenes than this.

Seen the japanese and american ring 1 and the american ring 2. Both films were brilliant... i didnt find either film scary, since ive yet to be frightened by any horror film. However that doesnt meakee film any less enjoyable, its cleverly put together and really worth watching.

i thort ring two was rather dull, i downloaded it last week iv only watched up to the bit when the kid gets in the bath but i got bored & switched it off

i thought it was the biggest pile of piss ive ever had to watch! it was a watered down rehash of the first movie! i was very disappointed, i found myself watching the time go by so i could leave the cinema! take my advice: DONT waste your money!

Oh god it was so bad, terrible storyline, terrible script, wtf was the bit with the deers about? And worst of all it was boring, although Hideo Nakata's directing was good in bits.

What a shame after they did a decent job of the remake of the first! I've seen the Japanese Ring 2 and, while it's not a great film, it's better than the American one, and the ideas behind it were very good, and really should have been used in the US version instead of..

Samara's mad, she want's your mummy!
i mean....huh?

Saw it today. Didn't think it was scary, eventhough it did have some jumpy bits. Not as good as the Ring 1... it was quite slow & I found it kinda boring.

7/10 I rate it. Its definitely worth going to watch though!

Thats the one! I dont remember everyone laughing though, i just remember bursting out laughing and then going very quiet very quickly as i realised i was probably the only one who did :o

I saw it today as well. (None of you were the ones running up and down the aisles at my local cinema, I hope)
It wasn't very scary. You see films like this for the moments that make you jump. There were no fake jumps ("..oh, it was only the cat...Aaaahhh!!!"), but the real ones weren't very good. The two 'mangled face' moments weren't as scary as the ones in 'The Ring', or in Ringu, for that matter. If another Ring film gets made on either side of the world (USA or Japan), I'd like them to explain what it is that happens that makes the victims end up like that.

Saw it today. Its crap! Not scary, and has possibily one of the worst lines ive heard in any film anywhere, i actually burst out laughing in the cinema when she said:

"I'm not your f**king mummy!"

I mean, c'mon! What a way to spoil a "possible" scary moment (not that it was anyway)...with a typical cheesy American one-liner. There was nothing new in this film, they were trying to scare us with the whole "coming out the tv" thing again, which just didnt work.

Why are you surprised by this?

This is the standard Hollywood formula:
- Take a film that did reasonably well
- Re-write it so that the plot is the same but the locations are slightly changed and all the things that made the original good are removed
- Shoot film with tiny budget
- Hype to death
- Laugh at the mugs who actually pay to see it.

I really, really wish people would stop going to see these awful sequels.

I enjoyed the Ring the first time I watched it, thought it was crap when I watched it again a couple of years later. Was disappointed by the sequel, far too similar to the first one and not scary.

I was a big fan of the US Ring 1 and have been looking forward to the sequel some time. I wasn't too disappointed. Definitely not on as good as the first one but then very few sequels are.
