The return of my 3D effect :)

Hi, I've been working on a 3D type effect without the need for glasses or special tv. I've come up with a new demo. There is no audio.

What to look out for...

1) You should see greater depth as the two cops from the tv show CHIPS ride along the road.

2) You should see greater depth when the cop is riding next to the bus and you see his front mirror to the top right of the screen.

Essentially it should look more like a window onto the scene rather than a totally flat image.

Give it a few repeat viewings to see if you see any depth. The clip looks the best when you reduce the screen - not the full screen mode. If you can see any illusion of greater depth, the effect works. :) Just to add - this is totally genuine, not a wind-up. Honest.

Hey floopy, as a previous non-believer, this clip has done nothing to sway my view. You've taken a tiny clip and made it look awful. It honestly looks like you've just stuck it through a cartoon filter on Prem pro. Please, take this enthusiasm and focus it elsewhere. I 'liked' your video (not that it matters because you go through YT accounts like I go through salad cream) because your relentlessness is awesome, but enough's enough. It isn't 3D, psuedo 3D or even 2.5D, it just looks crap. :/

Hand on heart, I can see extra depth. I'm not saying it's 3D depth you get with glasses but when you watch the clip look at the cop closest to the screen, then the one behind him and then the background - it should look more like a window onto the image, greater illusion of depth. As I say, I can see it but if you can't see any difference, fair enough. A few people in the past did say they saw it with my other clips however this is my best one in terms of retaining picture quality when uploading on Youtube.

Watch it in smaller screen mode, looks better. I can see the depth but no-one else can? Boo hoo. ;)

Call me crazy but I still maintain a form of 3D is possible without the need for glasses or enhanced 3D tv monitor screens! If your eyes see greater depth then it works. It's not a completely flat image. :)

Just to add - watch the clip in large screen mode - click the large mode button - it's on the bottom right icon thingy below the image.

Watch the scene when the two cops are riding along - from right.to left. Look at the second cop in the mid-ground. Then compare his movement with the trees moving behind him. Notice the big fern type tree moving behind him. There does seem to be a greater illusion of distance between his head and body and the trees behind him.

This is a 3D type effect in a 2D image? I believe so.

That's going to be profitable for you then isn't it!

There is no "3D", "2.5D" or any other kind of "D" in this clip except for "2D". Like ironjade says, get yourself checked out for that parallex thing, because your eyes are clearly messed up...

it just looks like a badly composited piece of video with some dodgey depth of field. not 3D at all. Even if you really believed in this, why did you upload such a crap quality video?

I really don't understand why you are expending so much time and energy on something that only you, and a handful of other people (according to you) can apparently see.

You don't seem to realise that whatever you are doing to these clips in your attempt to get some sort of 3D effect, is actually lessening the quality of them.

And not only that, you are tampering with copyrighted product, hence why your video's are always removed.

In all of your posts on here, you have not managed to convince a single person of this so-called 'breakthrough'.

And not only that, you continue to intimate that there seems to be something wrong with everyone else because we can't see it, yet you are convinced it is there.

Like many, many others on here have said...you're flogging a dead horse here, give it up.
