So how does everybody feel about these? Excited?

I love musicals and after quite a long break from any decents ones, I feel we've had some good'uns in the past few years like Hairspray, Chicago and Mamma Mia etc.

I'm not a fan of musicals, personally. The whole breaking-out-into-song-for-no-apparent-reason irritates me beyond belief. So I'm not looking forward to it, but I'll be avoiding them. :)

I love musicals and so any film musicals I am keen to see. Was a rumour that Blood Brothers is being made into a film. Hope so as that is one of my faves!

Tim Rice is also currently working on a screenplay for Chess according to his biography in the recent London concert version. Chess could well make a better movie musical than its original stage version, as the plot / story is extremely cinematic, which is why its always confusing to follow on stage (despite great music from the two Bs of ABBA)

I enjoy musicals and think Blood Brothers narrative would make for an interesting movie. I'd also appreciate a remake of Jesus Christ Superstar, Norman Jewisons film looks dated today and a screenplay based on the 1996 revival production would be a worthwhile update
