The Restaurant 2009

I feel so sorry for poor, poor Chris, who did everything right (including digging up the veg!) For RB to say that he 'fell at the final hurdle' is rubbish - what did he do wrong? Everything he produced for Lady Arran was good, including the souffle he'd never attempted before.

And poor Nathan, who had changed so much and improved in the last few shows. He tried really hard and you could see the difference.

I am so disgusted with this decision. I recommended this series to my husband, having seen series 2 and really enjoyed it. What a farce! :mad:
 
FWIW Ithink that menu looks excellent and would happily have eaten there...unless I had known JJ was cooking. I wonder where the inspiration came from, it doesn't look like a menu the boys would have put together.
 
Feel free to correct me if I am wrong, but didn't Sarah Willingham say to RB very early on in this series "You can't seriously be considering keeping JJ and James when JJ doesn't even cook"?

If I am right, she was still thinking the contestants cooking skills were important and this was not just about concept and business acumen. So why don't those skills matter now?

What a farce!
 
I have given up watching the show. I missed last weeks episode and intended to iPlayer it but just can't bring myself to make the effort.

I officially do not care who wins :(
