The Restaurant 2009

As I said - the fact that no one was ejected for their lack of cooking ability would seem a pretty large clue that it wasn't a cooking contest.

:D Ta muchly. Makes perfect sense to them doesn't it?

ROTFL....Classic.

I LOVE this programme, I'm in stitches most of the time

Carry on cooking the food I expect, since he was a chef not a gunner!

From the VT it looked like he just worked in this country perhaps at a barracks or training centre these days, rather than in the field of war, anyway.

Considering JJ and James gave me more laughs in the last five minutes of the final than a whole series of Wossy ever did, whatever it was was an absolute bargain. :D

looks like nathan from the restaurant has just joined twiiter

Perhaps more worrying, in terms of RB's judgement and concern for customers, is the cut and paste reply to messages about 'The Restaurant' sent to his own blog:

Thank you very much for your message. If you have a query, we will get back to you as soon as possible. I hope you will visit the website again soon and let me know what you think.

A bient

Yes, they did seem naive and inexperienced. I can never understand why, when a menu ingredient is difficult to source, they don't just choose something else! Even trying to produce a VERY limited menu they ran into difficulties, the chef girl was clearly not very experienced. They did have a rotten location and oven trouble though. And the chef girl seemed to be being gradually beaten up off camera (by frustrated waitress girl?!)

The others all suffered from a lack of planning and organisation, they needed to spend as much time working out an ordering and kitchen system as they did planning the food.

Married twins seemed to do a good job, but I think the missus is dreadful and will let hubby down. She does seem to be able to turn it on for the customers though - however dreadful she is "backstage".

Rags to Rirches were very disappointing, they had been my favourites up to now.

The W*nkers were as I expected. So lazy, how long can JJ get away with that? And I don't understand how you can have a "wet" (runny) scotch egg? Surely you have to hard boil the eggs first, wrap in sausage meat and breadcrumbs and then deep fry them? Very unlikely that the yolk would stay runny after all that. But as we didn't actually see anyone get any food, we'll never know!

I hope Harry Hill claims to like badgers, and like gorillas. But which is better?....there's only one way to find out...

I can remember the bloke from the Welsh Wok. The chinese man who couldn't cook rice. His sous was running the kitchen while he was faffing about.
Does sound a bit familiar doesn't it?
