The Restaurant 2009

LOL ... very funny ( and true! ) post

But is he really going to last training? How long will it take Raymond to train someone of JJ's standard. He's basically got to start from scratch which presumably mean's months or even years? JJ's not going to want to be away from his bar, his London social life and cocktail making and stuck in RaymonRAB kitchen for months on end ... if Raymond trains JJ I'll be extremely surprised .... when are they supposed to open this restaurant anyway?

The other thing that's been bugging me is the whole souffle / cocktail debacle. The moment when JJ dramatically rubbed his head and declared he was going to make a cocktail what the moment I knew they'd won. Had they not made the cocktail then surely even RB couldn't have justified picking them as winners. So ... surely it was the production team / RB that told them to make the cocktails. I don't think even JJ would have had the bull to present a load of cocktails to Lady Arun had he not been asked to do so .... as other's have said, it's very fishy ...

The shollange was my favourite part!:(

Of course I will still be watching if they don't have it but bah *shake fist*

I am going to make Mango Whizz for dindins tonight in celebration :D

Thanks. The website I did them for has, annoyingly, archived a couple of the episodes' write-ups and I'm finding it hard to have them restored but I do have 75% of all of Series 2 (including Ze Shallenges) on a Word document. I'll post it to a download site this evening and put the link on here (if that's allowed).

I don't think any of them will. RB will now owns all their concepts and will put his own staff in and give the winners a 'minor role', who will be let go at some point.

Stunned, disgusted and what a joke! And I watched it on the night. Can't believe this joke of a pair won. All they seem to be interested in is the thought of making money. There appears to be no passion for food which I thought Monsieur Blanc was all about. "The Duran Duran rejects" is an apt name.

Yes, cocktails were part of the deal from the beginning but so was food! (JJ was a wonderfully inept cook)

And the Winkers were already running The Cocktail Club which also servedmhot and cold food platters! Basically their concept was already in existance!
