The Restaurant 2009

Yes that's the word I was looking for. Thanks.

Disappointing that their quitting means the bullshit bros ride through to another week without cooking anything. Jammy soRAB.

Just because he has a penchant for young male couples, for some strange reason, doesn't mean that they had winning personalities. I think the reason the latter two were favoured was a little to do with commercial potential: they already had a successful bar, I believe. (Never mind that this itself was against the spirit of the programme, if not the strict letter of the stated rules.)

To be fair, I don't think it would be up to RB how the keys were distributed. It was probably the production team trying to be clever by making it look random when it was actually as produced as possible. There's no real reason for it, the effect would have been similar if RB had handed each couple keys as no one believes it was completely random, but it was just a dodgy peice of production at the end of the day. RB can't really be blamed for everything though, I doubt he was working 6 days a week on the show .... the production team have a lot to awnser for this year in terms of weak tasks , weak contestants, change of format and bad bad reality .... although I still hold RB responsible for the final choice of winners :D

Ha, what a great argument. Are you a 14-year-old girl? :D

Look, you were wrong about the concept, as explained by Starlet above. But don't worry about it.

Such as ignoring a garden full of free fresh food and spending money at the supermarket instead. Great 'business sense'.

The point is, there were two sets of rules - one for them and one for the rest. Their concept was just as weak as the others, their FoH just as poor, their food worse, their breaking of the rules just as bad, but they were not pulled up like the others were. And the reason for that is they were clearly decided upon weeks ago, making the competition a waste of time, the programme a farce, the viewers taken for mugs and the makers' credibility plummet.
Raymond's 'passion for food' he keeps prattling on about is clearly non-existent.

This really shouldn't be so hard for you to understand, but then you seem to be in a tiny minority who failed to notice their 'picnic' concept changing to 'cocktails', so I shouldn't be surprised.

I have a terrible feeling the winkers are being built up as the 'journey.' The cake looked terrible, smothered in icing. Their sous chef seems wonderful and is well aware that he is working for a complete twerp.

And Nathan is seriously annoying. He's such a moaning, brattish little fool. His partner, I agree, would walk this without him.

Well, who decided to "dick around" with the format?.

Was it someone at the beeb, or rather RB who wanted to ensure he got what he wanted?.

As others have said, series 1 & 2 were good viewing, and had winners who at least could have a go at running a restaurant, which the last winners simply couldnt do.

RB had them in mind from the off, so the show turned into a complete farce.

And what happened to the previous winners?. The winner of series one lasted a couple of months didnt they, but I havent a clue about the series two lot.
